Roastery launches El Carmen No. 50 Coffee Liqueur

Cirencester-based RAVE Coffee has announced the release of its first ever liqueur, a rum-based drink made using coffee beans from the El Carmen growing region in Colombia – home of the independent roastery’s flagship sustainability project.

Putting top class coffee centre stage, the El Carmen No. 50 Coffee Liqueur from RAVE is distilled in the UK, using freshly roasted and cold brewed single origin coffee. The 16.5% ABV liqueur is double-filtered and blended with Landlocked English white rum and brown sugar syrup. The result is smooth, beautifully balanced and full of flavour.

Taking rum a world away from the dreary, this Coffee Liqueur has notes of caramel, vanilla, and molasses. It’s dangerously good when sipped neat over ice, and perfect for cocktails, with each purchase also including a RAVE Cocktail Guide.

Bottled using 100% recycled glass, the El Carmen No. 50 Coffee Liqueur is made using coffee grown by 300 Colombian families who are part of the Red Association Pitalito Group, which RAVE works with to provide a sustainable supply chain and consistent access to the UK speciality coffee market.

1% of all RAVE sales are donated to environmental causes through the roastery’s 1% for the Planet commitment. As a proud member of 1% for the Planet for over four years, RAVE donated over £45,000 to their chosen charities in 2024 alone.

El Carmen No. 50 Coffee Liqueur will be available to purchase at ravecoffee.co.uk from 31st October, priced at £33.98 (70cl).
