Float away into a world of tranquil comfort as Dart Marina unveils new bedrooms and suites

Amy Brice

New rooms

Plump pillows piled high, hand-made 2,700 pocket-sprung mattresses and a soft speckled wool carpet under foot, are among the inviting features contained within Dart Marina Hotel & Spa’s new deluxe bedrooms and suites. Following months of anticipation and a £2.5 million investment, the 4-star waterside Hotel in Dartmouth, Devon, can now unveil a beautifully landscaped outdoor approach and 16 brand new en-suite bedrooms, with effortless charm, timeless elegance and a front row seat to River life.

With a restful palette of dove grey, pale duck egg and rich chocolate, irresistibly comfortable velvet chairs and an ample king-size bed, these bedrooms and suites have been designed with uninhibited relaxation in mind. Elegant voiles hanging at the floor-to-ceiling windows offer that all-important privacy, without spoiling the magnificent view, and for those who can prize themselves out of their bed, a generous secluded balcony awaits with unrivalled River views.

The magnificent bathrooms are fitted with a free standing bath tub, drench shower and twin vanity area, complete with demisting mirrors for shaving and magnifying mirrors for closer inspection. With warmed soft towels, large robes that wrap around and back again and a tea and coffee station right outside the bathroom door, equipped with a Nespresso machine, teapot and fresh milk in the fridge, every last detail has been considered.

Statement furniture, carefully curated artwork and mixed textures complement the rooms’ soft tones to create a truly unique space to unwind in. There is a light for every eventuality; reading, snoozing or waking up and sensor-lights in the bathroom illuminate those midnight strolls. The lovingly landscaped garden scheme wraps around the Hotel, blending gracefully with the outstanding natural beauty of the River Dart, with carefully selected plants softening the approach and offering year-round interest.

A peaceful getaway, staying in Dart Marina Hotel & Spa’s new deluxe bedrooms, will cost from £330 - £370 per night and the suites, which include a living area with spectacular views, cost £385 - £425 per night, depending on the season.
