From plot to plate, keen gardeners, foragers and experimental cooks will be able to create the freshest of feasts without leaving the garden, thanks to Plankbridge’s new shepherd’s hut garden micro-kitchen. This potting shed-inspired kitchen will be launched by the Dorset-based hutmaker, at this year’s RHS Chelsea Flower Show, from Tuesday 19 – Saturday 23 May 2015 on Tradestand PLW/1.
With a free standing galvanised trough-style sink, robust, easy-clean zinc work surfaces on top of wooden slatted storage shelves and an electric hob, this new culinary hideaway is the perfect space to enjoy eggs, herbs, fruit and vegetables at their absolute freshest, straight from the garden or allotment.
Time-honoured skills, precise craftsmanship and Victorian heritage will be poured into the build of this micro-kitchen inside a classic Plankbridge 12’ by 6’6” Riverkeeper’s Hut. Glazed double doors on the longest side will draw in natural light, while the view of the hut’s surroundings will help to inspire any gardener’s creative cookery.
A standard micro-kitchen with a wood burner, electric hob, free standing galvanised trough-style sink, robust, easy-clean zinc work surfaces on top of wooden slatted storage shelves inside a 12’ by 6’6” Riverkeeper’s Hut, with glazed double doors and one window would cost £23,000 including VAT. Bespoke designs can also be quoted for.
